After conquering the music world and dabbling in movie soundtracks, Pharrell is diving head first into films. Following his work on Hidden Figures (it was nominated for three Academy Awards), Skateboard P is being back by FOX Studios again, to work on a musical titled Atlantis inspired on his young life. Broadway veteran Michael Mayer will direct the the project, which will also be produced by Pharrell and Mimi Valdes via i AM OTHER.
The plot for Atlantis is being said to be a Romeo and Juliet type of story that will take place in Virginia Beach and be inspired by P’s childhood.
