Peter Parker could be on the verge leaving the MCU
In just a few months, Spider-Man: Homecoming will finally hit cinemas; but some big changes may happen for the future of the franchise. In previous years, Sony fought to have Peter Parker included in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he may be leaving before the decade’s end.
With the deal set to expire after its second solo movie in 2019, producer Amy Pascal confirmed that his stay in the MCU will likely end. Although it’s not final, other collaborations include Avengers: Infinity War and the untitled 2019 Avengers follow-up; which a major decision will be made.
Sony recently announced plans to start two unconnected films to the Spider-verse, including a Venom standalone effort – as well as a Black Cat and Silver Sable team-up affair.
