After Venom, more projects are coming to the SMU!
Last week, Sony and Marvel Studios finally revealed the official release date for their Spider-Man spin-off film, Venom. With the anti-hero effort set to hit theaters October 5, 2018, both studios are already planning more films within the Spider-Man Universe.
As of now, a feature co-project for Silver Cable and the Black Cat is officially in the works – with a script being developed by Chris Yost of Thor: Ragnarok and HBO Westworld’s co-creator, Lisa Joy.
While Sony is planning to schedule the project into their theatrical itineraries, Marvel is looking to begin production this fall. Assuming the upcoming summer reboot and launch for Spider-Man: Homecoming shatters records in box offices, the S.M.U. has a foundation to build from.
