Boots Riley is making his directorial debut with his upcoming sci-fi comedy film, Sorry to Bother You – the trailer is out this week.
The film stars Lakeith Stanfield (Atlanta, Straight Outta Compton, Get Out) as Cassius Cash Gree, a man who discovers that the secret to telemarketing is sounding like a white guy. The voice he puts on, which is actually handled by David Cross, finds him shooting up the corporate ladder.
It’s out July 6th, and also stars the likes of Tessa Thompson, Terry Crews and Danny Glover, with Steve Buscemi and Patton Oswalt also playing white guy voices.
