From rapper to professor, it looks like T.I. aka Clifford Harris will have his own class at Clark Atlanta University this Fall semester.
Teaching undergraduate students and partnering with hip-hop scholar Dr. Melva K. Williams, the two will teach a course called “The Business of Trap Music.” The class will mesh the history of trap music with the economics of its rise to fame and becoming a juggernaut in hip hop music.
TIP had this to say about the new venture:
“I applaud their innovative approach to ensuring their students are educated beyond the traditional textbook curriculum. I am honored to lend my voice and unique experiences to the betterment of today’s young people and to do my part to lift the legacy of historical black colleges and universities across the nation.”
