Oscar season is upon us, as the Golden Globe nominees were announced earlier today. There are plenty of first timers and some big surprises thus far, with movies like Birdman getting up to seven nominations and movies like Cake and Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken getting snubbed completely. On the TV side of things: Mad Men, The Americans got no love, Lizzy Caplan didn’t get a nod for Best Actress in a TV Drama for Masters of Sex.
You will, however, see TV series like True Detective, The Affair, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Fargo and others in the mix.
