Jesse Owens gets tribute from Adidas Basketball!
With “Black History Month” right around the corner, the good folks at adidas Basketball have revealed their special collection of kicks saluting the first African American track-and-field star Jesse Owens. Being that Mr. Owens took home four track and field gold medals in the 1935 Berlin Olympics, adidas decided to deck out the D Rose 6, D Lillard 2 and Crazylight Boost 2.5 silhouettes with gold aesthetic colorways. Each shoe also features Jesse Owen’s name branded on the tongues and lace-locks. All styles from the Jesse Owens-inspired adidas Basketball 2016 “Black History Month” Collection will be available next month over at the adidas online shop.
