Welcome to the world of trouble in The Brink!
Earlier this weekend, we were introduced to Mark Wahlberg’s executive produced series, Ballers. Another upcoming show set to make a splash on HBO this summer is black comedy, The Brink. Originally previewed last December during HBO’s year-end tease, the first trailer for the Roberto and Kim Benabib series arrives to give viewers a glimpse at some of the craziness we’ll all encounter when viewing the show.
Starring Tim Robbins, Jack Black and Pablo Schreiber, the new comedy focuses on three Americans, who must save the planet during a geopolitical crisis. Robbins assumes the role of U.S. Secretor of State Walter Hollander, while Black plays a lowly Foreign Service officer named Alex Coppins and Scheiber serves as an ace Navy fighter pilot.
With the fate of the United States and more so the planet in the hands of three idiots, look for the pilot to air on True Detective season two premiere night after Ballers this June 21st at 10:30pm ET.
