‘The Defenders’ is Reportedly Netflix’s Least Viewed Marvel Series Debut

Have you watched this yet?

Since the release of the original Daredevil in 2015, Netflix has been working hard to build a fan base for its live-action Marvel Universe. Many were under the impression that the crime-fighting quartet would be one of the biggest break-out shows in the history of the streaming giant.

Well, Netflix shared some analytic numbers, revealing some shocking information. The Defenders has been the least-watched Netflix Marvel original in the first 30 days of public viewership.

The show clocked in just 17% of Daredevil’s season 2 premiere, which was the highest rated Marvel show on the service. Unfortunately, the show saw a consistent decline from week-to-week, with no signs of picking back up before The Punisher releases before the end of the year.

With these drastic numbers in decline becoming public, we’re curious if Disney will eventually pull their exclusives from Netflix, when they launch their own streaming service holiday 2018.

Let us know in the comments if you’ve got around to watching The Defenders, or ever plan to.
