In 2003, All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony made his NBA debut signing a sneaker contract with the almighty Jordan brand. For his rookie season as a Denver Nugget, Anthony laced up a variety of crazy team color Air Jordan P.E’s such as the Jordan 12’s, 13’s, 2’s, 18.5’s, and many more custom kicks. During his first season, JB finally decided to lace him up with his own signature silhouette which was deemed the “Melo 1.5”, first introduced in a white and university blue colorway.
In celebration of Carmelo Anthony’s 10 year anniversary with Jordan Brand , the classic “Melo 1.5’s” will be making there official return in the original black/university blue “away” colorway. The shoe consist of a predominately black nubuck and university blue upper with silver accents. The 1.5’s also feature the OG Carmelo script logo and Air Jordan wing logo on the ankle panels.
The Melo 1.5’s will be available at all Jordan Brand retailers and the Nike online shop January 4th. Check out detailed images below.
