Tom Hardy is about to get his craziest tattoo yet. Fellow The Revenant star Leonardo DiCaprio bet that Hardy would get an Oscar nomination for his supporting role in the film, whereas Hardy didn’t agree. The loser would have to get a tattoo of the other’s choosing.
Hardy did in fact get nominated for an Oscar, but he hasn’t got the tattoo yet. Here’s a couple of quotes from his interview with Esquire:
“I haven’t got it yet,” he says cheerily, taking a deep lungful from his electronic cigarette, “because it sucks.”
Hardy recreates DiCaprio’s design on a Post-it note for me. “He wrote, in this really shitty handwriting: ‘Leo knows everything.’ Ha! I was like, ‘OK, I’ll get it done, but you have to write it properly.'”
So that’s it — Tom Hardy is getting “Leo knows everything” written on his body sometime soon. Hardy’s current tattoos include the London skyline, his wife’s name and ex-wife’s initials and others, including his agent’s name for getting him into Hollywood.
