Here’s who is co-starring with Mr. Ali
Over the fall, HBO confirmed that Mahershala Ali would officially star as the lead actor season three of their critically-acclaimed series, True Detective. Show creator, Nic Pizzolatto is still crafting ideas for the show this winter and has cast Stephen Dorff as co-lead for Ali.
HBO revealed that Mahershala and Stephen are set to play Arkansas state investigators Wayne Hays and Roland West, respectively. In the anthology year, the premium network shared plot details saying, “Season 3 will tell the story of a macabre crime in the heart of the Ozarks, and a mystery that deepens over decades and plays out in three separate time periods.”
With no production date set for the series, look for the network to aggressively move forward with getting this show recorded this spring and summer. A possible early 2019 roll-out would seem logical at this point. Let us know what you think of this official duo with Ali and Dorff.
