Do you like Ben Affleck as the new Batman?
Although Ben Affleck announced last year he was planning to direct and star in the Batman stand-alone film, the harsh criticism he received for his performance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice led many to believe that Warner Bros. would be parting ways with the star.
Last night, company CEO Kevin Tsujihara confirmed that Affleck would indeed get his wishes of remaining in the DC Universes for his vision in Batman. However, before he battles crime solo, he’ll team up with Henry Cavill’s Superman in the holiday 2017 release of Justice League: Part One.
The biggest mystery is which Suicide Squad villains will make an appearance in the film, like Harley Quinn and Joker. While the stigma of previous Affleck motion releases is finally leaving him, this is the guy Warner Bros. is putting in lead control for the future of DC Comics Films.
