After winning the NBA Most Valuable Player Award at the first annual NBA Awards, Russell Westbrook took the podium and thanked the most special people in his life. He had to fight back tears when thanking his family and wife, but there were not enough words to tell them how much he appreciated everything they have done for him to get to this place in his life.
Following his speech, Russ had a few commercials run on TV that related to him winning MVP.
One of them was the dope spot from Samsung, which described everything that Westbrook has been called throughout his career. Through the ups and downs, criticism and praise, it took all of those adjectives to make him the man he is today: the NBA MVP.
