Last weekend, HBO simultaneously launched their new comedy series Crashing and limited-show, Big Little Lies. As the premium channel prepares themselves for the exit of Game of Thrones next year, they’re already looking into new programming. Crashing, offers comedic-reply value, as we follow as stand-up artist by the name of Pete Holmes.
Throughout the show, he presents a semi-autobiographical tale in his days of doing stand-up comedy in New York City, as he meets Artie Lange for inspiration – as well as other means of getting into trouble throughout the city. Then, we have the star-studded miniseries, Big Little Lies.
Starring Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley, the 6-episode show centers on the three portraying innocent mothers. However, with a surprising murder in their small community, the trio witness their perfect life, become the perfect life.
With fall TV on break and the new winter slate of content currently airing, these two could be gems for those of you looking for something before spring-summer series return.
