HBO is currently launching three new series to its network, with hopes of building a new library for the imminent exit of Game of Thrones in 16 months. Alongside Westworld and Sarah Jessica Parker’s Divorce, viewers of the network were treated to the new comedy series from Issa Rae, Insecure.
Some of you may know Issa from her Awkward Black Girl web series, as the new the HBO series borrows some elements from it. In the show, Issa is a 29-year-old single lady in Los Angles on the brink of turning thirty and still doesn’t know what her future holds.
With a successful best friend not having luck in the romance department either, Issa looks to reunite with a high school fling and settle down, which doesn’t seem promising. Above, you can get an introduction to the series, which airs Sundays at 10:30pm ET/PT.
