A documentary about Kanye West is coming to Netflix and a new trailer for the project has been released. Jeen-Yuhs will be directed by Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah, known as Coodie & Chike and will feature never-before-seen videos of Yeezy back when he was on the come up. From home videos to rare footage, the documentary will chronicle Kanye’s life. Everything from how he got his start in rap through producing, to his mother’s death, fashion design and 2020 Presidential Run.
It is being reported that Netflix acquired the film for $30 million.
Though West is not involved in the making of the documentary, he has given Coodie & Chike his blessing by allowing them to record him for over 20 years.
As you can see from the trailer above, a young ‘Ye is rapping “Two Words” acapella with Mos Def, a record that was featured on his debut album The College Dropout.
Jeen-Yuhs is slated to hit the streaming platform in 2022.
