The original series by Netflix keep rolling in and the streaming platform has taken the 2014 movie Dear White People and turned it into a whole television series.
The series is described as “satirizing post-racial” America, where African American students attend a predominantly white Ivy League college. As you can see from the trailer, Samantha White (host of the school’s radio show Dear White People) is advising the Caucasian students what is and what not is acceptable as a Halloween costume. Obviously, black face is not on the list of things to do.
The series will premiere on April 28.
