This July, Paramount Network will premiere new docuseries Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story, to tell the story of Trayvon Martin through a six-part documentary. It is executive produced by Shawn Carter aka JAY Z and will explain the legacy of Trayvon Martin and how it sparked the “Black Lives Matter” movement, as well as tell how the American criminal justice system, politics and race played a significant role before, during and thereafter. The series is based on the book Rest in Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin, which Trayvon’s parent’s wrote.
As you can see from the first teaser, quotes from the time manage to paint a picture of Martin’s famous picture with his hoodie on.
