La Reina del Sur hits stateside!
Last Thursday, USA Network premiered their new series, Queen of the South. The show, which is an adaption from Telemundo show, La Reina del Sur, gives stateside viewers a closer look into the international drug world. Brazilian actress, Alice Braga, assumes the role of Teresa Mendoza, who is essentially throw into criminal life, after her drug-runner boyfriend is murdered.
She then grabs one bag and has to flee Mexico back to her homeland of Spain. However, while she’s back home, with acquired street smarts from her former lover, Teresa looks to become the country’s reigning drug smuggler, as well as avenging the previously mentioned death.
