The younger generation may not know who Nina Simone is, but maybe through Kanye West sampling her on “Blood On The Leaves,” they got a taste of the talented and iconic artist. Netflix is releasing a documentary about Nina, directed by Liz Garbus, titled What Happened, Miss Simone?
on June 26 and it will chronicle what made her as drawing as she was.
With commentary from her daughter and those closest to her, the film uses rare footage and will unearth never-before-heard recordings to tell the story of the legendary singer.
