Although his basketball career had an exponential more number of accolades, Michael Jordan‘s retirement and dive into baseball was rather interesting.
Will Smith is taking this part of MJ’s story and producing a biopic titled The Prospect, which will follow his life between 1993-1995, where the greatest basketball player of all time played for Chicago White Sox Double-A affiliate, the Birmingham Barons. The screenplay, written by Ben Epstein (You Get Me), chronicles Jordan’s life after his father died and his journey with the minor league team after he retired from the Chicago Bulls for the first time.
It’s still in the early stages, so don’t expect a cast list just yet.
