EXCLUSIVE: The 2pac & Fat Joe Serious Street Friendship & Brief Beef Explained

#FreeSuge

2pac vs. Fat Joe beef is being brought back for whatever reason. If you remember last month, we did the MAY-kaveli stories for the entire month of May. While I didn’t expect to do one of these until next year; new information has surfaced for the public from Fat Joe and a member of the Outlawz.

During the mid-90s, 2pac and Fat Joe developed a bond; which wasn’t known by too many outside of the streets. It went as far as to Pac receiving protection from Joey Crack on the inside from his Puerto Rican brothers; as well as affiliates of the Latin Kings.

While he was universally respected in prison, due to his movement and family history; there were still some that wanted him out the way. However, those real people protecting him, outnumbered those for the moment. Out of Pac’s own mouth, nobody from New York (except Fat Joe) looked out for him in prison, that knew him before he got locked up.

Everybody was screaming ‘Free 2pac,’ but nobody put money on his books or helped his family. So, that’s where the real issues stemmed from with major people on the east coast. Months after Makaveli got out, he dropped “Hit Em’ Up,” a few weeks before he passed. At the time, Fat Joe confirmed to the public, that he and The Notorious B.I.G. had a joint-album in the works.

The project was set to feature a slew of jabs at 2pac and The Outlawz, in response to the track. While the two were never able to finish it, Fat Joe and 2pac made peace before the Las Vegas incident. If you remember, 2pac was launching Death Row East at NYC’s MTV Music Awards. This happened just three days before got shot and later died.

However, before Pac went back to New York, he needed protection and reached out to Joe. Crack said Pac and his friends had nothing to worry about on their visit. So essentially, Fat Joe told anyone in New York, that tried to run up on 2pac for making peace, would have to answer to him.

We know this sounds crazy for people that don’t know Joe, but he’s one of the most powerful street individuals in rap history. This allowed Pac to have a meeting in Central Park with Nas and end their beef on a handshake. Joey eventually was going to have 2pac and The Notorious B.I.G. sit-down as well, to end their issues.

Both parties wanted this to happen; but Pac getting killed changed that history from happening. In our opinion, Fat Joe was the only rap figure that loved and looked out for Pac from New York. We’re sure Biggie never wanted to harm him; but those connected to both didn’t want to hear anything out.
