What Happened with 6ix9ine’s January Bond Hearing & How His Case Has Changed

Conflict of interest. .

Tuesday morning, 6ix9ine was granted his next bond hearing, but necessarily didn’t go according to plans. Many expected Tekashi to apply for bail again, as part of the planned $1.5 million package.

While being appointed a new judge a few weeks ago, the defense surprisingly didn’t make a bail application. However, the biggest news of his day in court, was the judge finding out that 6ix9ine’s lawyer had worked with his co-defendants in the past. Lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, represented both Kifano ‘Shotti’ Jordan and Faheem ‘Crippy’ Walter in previous cases.

According to federal law, this is considered conflict of interest and could lead to his removal from the case. The judge is expected to have a hearing on the future of attorney Lazzaro, as many are expecting Tekashi to hire an entirely different defense team. So, by them not filing for bail, it’s likely that 6ix9ine will have to sit until he goes to trial in September – or takes a plea deal.

He’s currently due back in court on February 20th, where we’ll find out what happens next with the case. Take a look at media below and let us know in the comments what you think.
