If you’ve listened to DVSN before, you would happen to know that the mysterious OVO artist has an affinity for ’90s R&B. “Too Deep” takes game from Timbaland‘s baseline on Ginuwine‘s “So Anxious” and the whole sound of the track screams vintage. Today on OVO Sound Radio, DVSN played a set during the second hour of the show, which included ’90s classics, as well as some new stuff from PARTYNEXTDOOR.
A new remix by Aaliyah was also played, where Prince‘s “Purple Rain” was mashed up into the original. Not only that, but DVSN provided background vocals during the hook and added a verse to the song.
After listening, it sounds like a good tribute and way to pay homage to baby girl.
