Anderson .Paak Talks ‘Oxnard’ Album and Working with Dr. Dre

We can’t wait for Anderson .Paak to drop Oxnard next week. He’s been on a run, talking to a lot of outlets about the upcoming album, preaching the good word and he stopped by Ebro in the Morning to speak on what’s good with the project.

During the interview, he spoke on his experience working with Dr. Dre and other producers, some of the setbacks of working with others (including the fact that they may not want him to tweak the production, even though he’s a drummer), some of the people he has on the album and why he named it Oxnard, in comparison to his old albums.

He also talked about being a friend to Mac Miller and the fact that they only worked on “Dang!” and that’s it. The two always wanted to make more music together but when they would kick it, it was more about the friendship than music.

Make sure you go listen to his Beats 1 show and check out the Hot 97 interview up top.
