For fans who are obsessed with having the best quality audio recordings playing out of their speakers and/or headphones when listening to music, Apple Music is launching a new program that will be catered right for them. Plus, it’s at no cost to current subscribers and iTunes store purchasers.
Introducing “Apple Digital Masters,” the company will offer songs and albums which are optimized high-resolution masters. This already started as “Mastered for iTunes,” which will be available under the program as well.
You can expect over 70 percent of Top 100 songs and Top 100 global singles to be part of the program, bringing premium quality straight to your speakers.
Here’s what Apple had to say about the program:
“By encoding from high-resolution masters, Apple music engineers are able to capture all of the detail of a recording in a size that is convenient for streaming and downloading. Using 24-bit files means less noise and higher encoding efficiency.”
