Days prior to Thanksgiving, The Weeknd was doing last minute promotions for his recently released Starboy project. During the conversation with Zane Lowe, Abel spoke about his friendship with Drake and how the will always be friends behind-the-scenes, even if they’re competing for the no. 1 spot on Billboard charts. He even compared the two JAY Z and Kanye West of The Throne, and even said he was open the idea of eventually working on a collaborative album.
While a full-length OVOXO project isn’t likely to happen anytime soon, Drake and his OVO Sound crew held a special birthday party for P. Reign – which was snapped to the gram by Jas Prince. OVO Oliver hit up snapchat shortly after to reveal that Abel was on hand for the special event as well.
Although neither Toronto artists were pictured together, many rumblings are already suggesting that two could be reuniting for Drizzy’s upcoming More Life LP. Take a look at the photos below and let us know in the comments if you think the two are up to something in the studio.
