Last night, Ariana Grande finally released her Sweetener single “The Light Is Coming,” after teasing it on social media for weeks. Joined by Nicki Minaj, don’t expect any twerking or sexiness from either, as the video fits the theme of Halloween than it does a summer banger. In the clip, the duo are placed in a dark forest, as Ari brings the light to the forefront and runs around the trees. She’s then transplanted to some Star Trek forest shit, as red lights shine all around her. It’s safe to say the visual is as left-field as the Pharrell beat.
Grande’s new album Sweetener is set to drop on August 17.
