The music world received the sad news of Aretha Franklin‘s death yesterday and artists far and wide paid tribute to her on social media and beyond. In visiting The Tonight Show to talk about her Sweetener album (and Pete Davidson), Ariana Grande went on stage and performed a tribute to the Queen of Soul alongside The Roots, in the form of one of Aretha’s most beautiful songs from her catalog.
