A$ton Matthews is preparing to release his new project titled Chapovelli in the near future, with recent tracks like “Night to Remember” and “Ever Since” giving us an idea of what to expect from it. Today, we’re premiering the Long Beach rapper’s new song “Phantom of the Opera,” which features Velous and is also produced by him.
“This is actually the first record I ever recorded with Velous,” A$ton says. “He cut the sample on in the studio and we both know it was a stanger off the rip. Working on Chapovelli there has been many moments of desperation that led [me] to the feeling of having a point to prove each verse.. and this record was the first of many of those moments.”
Velous previously produced “Coldest Night in Hell” for Matthews.
