August Alsina has been steadily making his way back into the spotlight, following the success of his 2014 debut album Testimony. After showing up on a few records here and there, the New Orleans crooner made his official return back in April with the release of his latest single “Hip Hop.” The video, directed by Alsina’s go-to director, Payne Lindsey, finds the singer-songwriter and rapper down to Louisiana, where he kicks it on the block and showcases the struggles and hardships that citizens of his hometown, mainly his own race, are affected by the war going on outside in America.
