Big Sean Talks Eminem Collaboration for ‘I Decided’ Album & Work with André 3000

‘I Decided’ out February 3rd!

In just two weeks, Big Sean will be releasing his fourth studio album, I Decided. The project, which serves as a follow-up to his Dark Sky Paradise effort of 2015, will be the first-time Kanye West has let his protégé have full creative control and direction for a major effort.

Earlier today, he sat down with Zane Lowe of Apple Music’s Beats 1 to discuss his transition from a depressed time in his life of Dark Sky Paradise, to evolving more as a person and artist over the last few months for the new project. During the conversation, he also revealed that Eminem was one of the only featured guests on the album, as the two collaborated on album track “No Favors.”

In the midst of explaining how the creation process for the song happened, he touched on having a listening session with Rick Rubin and André 3000 – leading to him have some studio vibes with the OutKast member. Unfortunately, the work didn’t make the final cut of the album, but he plans to revisit those plans, hinting at possible collaborations between the two down the line.

Listen to more from the full conversation below, where he also opens up on some unreleased tracks that he plans to release with Metro Boomin and more.
