Bishop Nehru is getting ready to release his new album Elevators: I & II on March 16th, which is being produced by MF DOOM and Kaytranada.
This week, the New York rapper is sharing the first single called “Rooftops,” which sees DOOM handling the production. The coinciding video is directed by Mezzy, and finds Nehru quite literally on rooftops looking out at the city lights.
“‘Rooftops’ symbolizes the fall of the Titans and how they must rise back into their own powers,” Bishop says. “They must realize that the “gods” have used their own power against them to reclaim their spot. Like the Titans, we must mentally and more importantly spiritually reclaim our power.”
