BJ The Chicago Kid – A Salute To D’Angelo

As much as we like BJ The Chicago Kid‘s original material, we have to admit, he can definitely body a record that belongs to someone else. We’ve actually witnessed it happen more and more lately, which is why this “16th Anniversary of Untitled” came as no surprise when we saw it surface. Before pressing play, we didn’t even know what to expect besides BJ covering the fuck out of some D’Angelo songs and it was better than we imagined.

Among the tracks that the Chicago kid sang, include “Always In My Hair,” “Send It On” and the timeless classic “Untitled (How Does It Feel).”

One time for BJ paying homage to D’Angelo and doing his own renditions of his records, though. Here’s to hoping D actually hears this and responds with nothing but positive comments about it. We’re sure that would give BJ the spark to go into 2016 the right way.
