For the first time in three years, Blood Orange just returned with his new album Freetown Sound, which was deservedly met with great reviews. Also known by his real name Dev Hynes, the London-born, New York-based musician paid a visit to Pharrell and Scott Veners’ OTHERtone show on Beats 1 over the weekend.
Dev speaks on his creative process, breaking down different elements of “By Ourselves” in terms of what inspired him to write and putting together the piano and melodies. Pharrell was feeling the energy and talked about the degrees of senses.
