You might recognize Bridgit Mendler from her career as an actress on Disney Channel, but now she’s got one of the best pop collaborations of the year on her hands.
For her new single “Atlantis,” she links up with Orlando newcomer Kaiydo for a verse. “‘Atlantis’ is about knowing that I am capable of finding love, but feeling like it has disappeared like a lost city,” says Mendler. With distorted vocals (especially the chorus), Mendler isn’t searching for a meaningless smash hit. Instead, she’s just making great modern pop about something personal to her.
Mendler’s Nemesis EP drops November 4th, with her next single “Do You Miss Me At All” out October 14th.
