Cardi B 1 million lawsuit victory Tasha K story is examined, as we expect the entire landscape of entertainment media to immediately change. In one of the more insane stories we’ve seen in quite some time, Cardi B has successfully won the first major lawsuit against a YouTube media reporter.
The Bronx native reportedly won $1.25 million in damages from popular YouTuber Tasha K, for alleging she was a prostitute that dabbled in drugs and contracted STIs. The week-plus long trial ended, as Tasha was also ordered to pay $250k for medical expenses of Cardi, who contemplated suicide.
This lawsuit victory opens a door for people to start suing YouTubers and media outlets for reporting false information.
Just because you use the word “allegedly” does not save you in any form from being sued. You must have proof from the person you’re making a direct negative claim against, pertaining to their personal life.
Not doing so, will have many people paying attention to detail on everything made about them in the media world. We’re under the impression that things will be changed for the better, with some outlets being flagrant with disrespect to people they profit off.
