Cardi B Earns Highest-Charting Hit for Female Rapper Since Nicki Minaj

“Bodak Yellow” now joins “Anaconda”

Following a summer takeover with her hit-single Bodak Yellow,” NYC-rapper Cardi B is making major money moves. This week, her track flew from 28 to 14 in its fifth week on the list, and will likely continue to pick up steam in the next few weeks.

The single becomes the highest-charting hit by a female rapper since Nicki Minaj’s 2014 song, “Anaconda,” which peaked at no. 2. Nielsen Music also reported that the single generated a 56 percent increase in streams, totaling up to 24.5 million in the states alone. Along with a recent co-sign from Drake and a major release in store, look for the track to continue rising.
