Cardi B is coming, and the industry is watching her every move after latest comments regarding where her new project has been. Some find it hard to believe that Cardi has gone four years since the release of her Invasion of Privacy album in 2018.
However, with the pandemic happening and Bardi taking time to start a family, we’re not shocked at any of the events. A few months ago in March, Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy became the first album in the history of music to have all of its songs platinum certified by the RIAA.
This turned a few heads, as the demand for Cardi has been higher than her debut project. This led to Cardi having to address fans last night on her Twitter spaces page, explaining that she was having technical difficulties with her upcoming project.
While not going into exact details on why the music is taking so long to release, she did say that fans would figure out why she’s opted to not release a collection of work once they hear the album.
So, currently, the entire music industry is paying attention to Cardi, as they expect her sales to be through the roof on this upcoming project. It’s likely that she’ll compete with Kendrick Lamar as the biggest project release of 2022, once the singles start pouring out.
Along with expected major collaborations and a worldwide tour, look for this entire story to pick up once summer officially starts.
