A few days ago, information surfaced that Cardi B was readying her next major single, after “WAP.” While some are in denial of the song, it’s been brought to our attention that the track was indeed recorded a few weeks ago, and will also feature Megan thee Stallion.
Meg became the bridge to bring peace between both Cardi and Nicki, where issues started back in 2017 with the summer takeover of “Bodak Yellow.”
The original plan was for these two to have multiple collaborative tracks, as well as partnering for a joint-tour. Considering they’re two of the biggest rappers in the game, catering to similar audiences; it only makes sense for them to work. Just imagine if Lil Kim and Foxy Brown had a third party on their level bring them together.
It’s unclear how their past street issues will be resolved; considering there was an open case with the girlfriend 6ix9ine and Cardi B having a major altercation back in late 2018, that Nicki allegedly got involved with. Considering the two have been cordial and are readying their second collaboration (see: MOTOSPORT), both are showing major growth.
With Cardi and Nicki recently having children, they’re both moving differently and leaving behind social media antics to focus on family. We have to commend Meg for bringing these two together, and will be waiting like the rest of you for inevitable release of “Lavish” this fourth quarter.
