Cardi B x Breakfast Club
After landing a top single on Apple Music, Cardi B is on the cusp of becoming the first female rapper to have a no. 1 record on Billboard since Lauryn Hill. This weekend, the Bronx native made a stop by The Breakfast Club to give a brief career update, which doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon. With her “Bodak Yellow” single set to see a rap remix in the coming weeks, she went to tease that she’s letting the record breathe until she drops her follow-up track later this fall.
She was also asked about being influenced by Kodak Black for the cut, where she admitted that there was briefly some flow usage in the cut. Before things ended, Cardi also addressed her alleged Nicki Minaj rift at the 20-minute mark, where she opened up on the two having a conversation.
