Chance The Rapper has taken to Twitter today to respond to criticism of his new album The Big Day.
In a series of tweets, he explained his thoughts on people’s negative views of the album and the hate he’s been seeing towards him. “I’m getting this crazy feeling that people want me to kill myself,” Chance said. He continued saying, “I feel like even more than that, some people want me to feel ashamed.”
He also took a moment to joke around about the “I love my wife igh” meme that has been going around. “The number one thing thats been on my heart and has been reaffirmed in the last week that I’m now 100% sure of is… that I LOVE my wife,” he said.
However, Chance did confirm that he in fact doing fine. “I just want to reiterate that I don’t want to kill myself, nor am I ashamed of loving my wife,” he said. “I think I just wanted to say out loud that I see the vibes.”
