DMV rapper Chaz French recently inked a deal with Motown/Capitol Records as he readies his new album for release, and his track “Way Out” is also one of our favorites of the year so far. Today, he’s back with a video for his new “Miss You Freestyle,” which finds a personal Chaz spending time with his daughter and rapping about love for his children, his mother’s divorce and losing his grandfather to cancer.
“It’s been longer than my fans or I would have liked for me to give them some new songs and visuals. I just wanted to take this time to let you all know, that I missed you during this time apart,” Chaz says. “At the same time, through this process of chasing the vision, my time with my children has also become limited. Had do some soul searching to find the balance between Chaz the Dad and the rapper. Struggle what made us!”
