The project, which he’s cited as a way of uplifting his people. Above, the legendary Chicago rhymer reflects on the stories of his ancestors, while recognizing the life-changing events that are currently going on around the world for black people. For his 11th studio album, Common Sense calls up Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Bilal, BJ the Chicago Kid, Marsha Ambrosius, PC, Syd, Tasha Combs and Elena.
