Daniel Merriweather “Change” Remix Contest

You probably know Australian singer Daniel Merriweather from his slot voicing Mark Ronson’s chart-topping Smiths cover “Stop Me.” But, after a tireless work schedule guesting on tons of records and performing around the globe, Merriweather has finally put the finishing touches on his debut album, Love & War, due out June 1st through Allido/J Records. The LP is being led by the Ronson-produced, Wale-featuring single “Change,” a jumpy, funkish cut with a nice centering piano riff and Ronson’s usual robust horns. To celebrate the release, we’re more than excited to announce the “Change” remix contest, with the winning version to be chosen personally by Mark and Daniel.

The official rules and stems are available for download on Daniel’s site here, but the gist is that you download the stems, work your magic, then send the remix as an mp3 attachment todmerriweather@drop.io with your email address as the subject line (this helps us keep track.) We’ll then post all of the remixes at rcrdlbl.com/danielremix, and on June 1st, Mark and Daniel will personally choose the winner from the Top Five most downloaded versions. The winner’s will be featured on our homepage for a full week!
