Dave East ‘Karma 3’ album, is a follow-up to the East Harlem rapper’s major debut album last year, Survival. After teasing the project just only a week ago, El Barrio Dave follows through with his promise of the new album.
East said the new album, Thoughts of a Menace, is in dedication to his friend King Shooter. He passed away last spring, due to complications with coronavirus related symptoms. Features come from the likes of Mary J. Blige, Trey Songz, Benny the Butcher, Young Dolph, A Boogie wit Da Hoodie, Popcaan, Trouble, Doe Boy, Jozzy and Bino Rideaux.

David Lawrence Brewster Jr., better known by his stage name Dave East, is an American rapper, songwriter and actor from Harlem, New York. East began his career in 2010, and gained attention in 2014 from his eighth mixtape, Black Rose. A strong lyricist adept at telling gritty street narratives, Harlem-based MC Dave East has a style heavily reminiscent of ’90s New York hardcore rap, while sounding fresh enough to compete with the contemporary hip-hop landscape. After building a buzz with several independent mixtapes during the early 2010s, East caught the attention of his favorite rapper, who signed him to . Several Billboard-charting releases followed, including 2016’s Kairi Chanel and 2017’s Paranoia: A True Story.
