Deconstructed with Rsonist of The Heatmakerz: The Making of “Dipset Anthem”

And to think, the beat for “Dipset Anthem” was never supposed to see the light of day and be thrown away before it was even finished? At least that’s what Rsonist of The Heatmakerz says.

In the new segment of Deconstructed with Genius, the producer broke down how he came up on the sample and finally made the beat. Rs says that he grew up in a house that played nothing by reggae music and he always wanted to sample something into hip-hop. Turns out, this record was the one and it ended being one of the biggest songs from The Diplomats catalog. With only two loops used across the whole track, Rsonist breaks down the hi-hats, kicks and snares and how he recreated the beat.

It’s a certified classic.
