Def Jam Removes Kanye West’s ‘The College Dropout’ from Apple Music

UPDATE: The College Dropout is back on Apple Music.

UPDATE: A Def Jam rep told Stereogum that the album wasn’t pulled and they’re working on getting it back up: “There must be some sort supply chain glitch.”

The streaming era has its downsides: an album can vanish from your library at any time without warning. That’s the case with Kanye West‘s The College Dropout, which has been removed from Apple Music by Def Jam Records. The same goes for YouTube, too.

There’s currently no reason why, but the Apple Support Twitter account revealed the fact over the weekend. “The record label pulled the album from Apple Music,” they said in response to a customer.
