Diggy Simmons is back with a music video for his new single “It Is What It Is.” For it, Diggy keeps things soulful by rapping over choir vocals and a violin, while posting up in a church and in the middle of a field. It feels like the perfect introduction to his next journey.
“I haven’t released a music project in 6 years,” Diggy wrote on Instagram. “All due to overthinking my ideas, my OCD, being too invested in the unknown and the fear of an uncertain outcome.”
The song is taken from his forthcoming album, which will be his first since 2012’s debut, Unexpected Arrival. While his last album was released on Atlantic, Diggy is now dropping music through his own Diggy imprint and EMPIRE.
